Jenners is the oldest independent department store in the world, having maintained its original position on Princes Street, Edinburgh since 1838. Formed by two apprentice drapers, Jenners has grown through a process, not of ruthless reconstruction, but quiet and careful augmentation, so that the character of the business has been preserved. The street numbers may have changed and the store grown in stature, but throughout all its colourful history, the spirit of Jenners and its associated companies has remained the same. A shared commitment, as proposed in the founding statement from 1838, to 'obtain in every instance, a quality of goods that will give the most entire satisfaction' has led to the development of The Art Room at Jenners, in which we believe we offer exceptional choice, quality and service to help you find the perfect artwork for your home, from landscape to abstract, Rolf Harris to Sarah Jane Szikora, 6ft sculpture to 7" miniatures!
